Taiwan-Italy Business Networking: new industrial chains, new threat profiles

Fortgale at the Taiwan-Italy Business Networking Meeting organised by CIECA and Confindustria Lombardia: Taiwanese delegation on cybersecurity, ICT, UAV drones and smart mobility meets Italian companies.

An attack is not an event. It is someone. And when Taiwan and Italy forge industrial alliances, someone notices.

At the Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan, the Taiwan-Italy Business Networking Meeting brought together a delegation of Taiwanese business operators and Italian companies. Organised by the Chinese International Economic Cooperation Association (CIECA) of Taiwan and Confindustria Lombardia, with the support of Confindustria, the event was designed to open concrete bilateral industrial and commercial collaborations.

The sectors represented by the Taiwanese delegation are not accidental: cybersecurity and digital security solutions, ICT and cloud computing, drone and UAV technologies, smart mobility, smart energy, smart building. This perimeter overlaps almost exactly with the supply chains that the world's most capable adversaries, state-sponsored ones, have been targeting for years. Taiwan is one of the most attacked places on earth, not by chance: it is a critical node at the heart of the global semiconductor chain, advanced electronics, and now, industrial ICT. Every operational partnership between an Italian company and a Taiwanese player extends the exposed surface of both.

This is why Fortgale was present. Not to network, but to hold the line: whoever builds new industrial chains must already know who is watching from outside. We track 287 adversary groups and offensive tools active against our markets. Many operate precisely at the intersection of the Taiwanese technology ecosystem, European supply chains and the ICT infrastructure of mid-size Italian companies, an underestimated and growing attack vector.

Knowing the adversary is the first act of defence. When a new industrial partnership opens, the risk profile changes the same day the agreement is signed. The second act is stopping them before they realise the window is open.

The Fortgale model does not change with the geography of the partner: Italian SOC operating 24/7/365, median TTD below 15 minutes, median TTC below 30 minutes, noise reduction above 90% within the first month. Vendor-agnostic. Same time zone, same regulations, same operational accountability as our clients. For companies entering commercial relationships with Taiwanese operators in cybersecurity, ICT or advanced supply chains, the moment to update their security posture is now, not after the first incident.
